Full mudguards are required to ride with the club through Winter. We’re riding Clockwise to the North of York. The number of Groups, will depend on the number of people riding.
Looks like a chilly 3C start, 12mph wind coming from the West. Heading out over the Millennium bridge to follow the river and to the North on the A19. Left turn for Overton and carrying North/West up to Tollerton and Alne. Being mindful of ice at Alne before the Railway bridge. Veering East to Easingwold and a gentle climb to the foot of Crayke. South from there to Huby then through Sutton on Forest and turning right to the back of Strensall. Careful at the blind right turn towards Haxby Moor to come back in to York through New Earswick then Huntington Road.
There will be an optional cafe stop on return to Cycle Heaven.
We’re riding clockwise to the North of York. Heading out on the A19 towards Skelton, turning left through Overton, Tollerton and Alne. In to Easingwold then turning East just before Oulston, up Milking Hill climbing to Yearsley. A quick descent in to Brandsby, taking care on the corners and care needed again East out of Brandsby for gravel on the corner. Quiet road through Stearsby and Whenby, then joining the busier road up to Sheriff Hutton. Back in to York through Strensall and Huntingon ending with an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.

The club ride this Sunday is clockwise to the North of York. Heading in to York on Tadcaster Road then out on the A19 to the North as far as Skelton. Then on quieter roads through Overton, Tollerton, Alne, and Easingwold. East from there to Stillington and mostly South from there to make use of the forecasted tailwind. Back in to York via Sutton on the Forest, Strensall, the back of Haxby and New Earswick for an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.
Sundays ride looks a chilly one to Easingwold. It’s a repeat of a previous ride but we may head through town if that makes it easier for people to join us at the Art Gallery and Rawcliffe Park and Ride. Out on the A19 then through Overton, Tollerton, Alne and Easingwold. Then back South through Huby, Sutton on Forest, Strensall and New Earswick. Stop at a cafe for coffee & cake afterwards.
