We’re riding clockwise to the West of York. Heading out through Bishopthorpe, Bolton Percy, Tadcaster and Thorner. North to Rigton then East to Bramham for a quick climb then descending in to Clifford and on to Boston Spa. A small section of bike track to Thorpe Arch estate, for a finish with a tail wind to Askham Bryan ending with an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.

Mudguards are now required to ride with the club. We’re riding clockwise to the West of York, heading out to Copmanthorpe, Colton, Appleton Roebuck and Bolton Percy. Then we’re heading over the newly re-opened Tadcaster bridge and carry on to Bramham. North from there to Clifford, Boston Spa and Walton. Up to Tockwith then East through, Long Marston, Hutton Wandesley, Angram, Askham Richard and Askham Bryan. In to York up Tadcaster Road for an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.
Forecast at the moment to be a chilly start with 15mph wind from the North West. The route this Sunday heads in to the wind West from Tesco through Askham Bryan and Askham Richard. North through Rufforth and towards Hessay then West to Tockwith. Hopefully the wind behind us South to Thorpe Arch, Boston Spa and Clifford for a small climb at Windmill Hill. East from there to Tadcaster, walking over the bridge and carrying on to Bolton Percy and Appleton Roebuck. Back in to York through Bishopthorpe and over the Millenium bridge for an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.
Sundays ride sees us visit Towton Battlefield that saw war on Easter Sunday in 1461. Don’t forget the clocks go forward. Leaving West from York through Askham Bryan, Healaugh, and Wighill. Then South past Thorpe Arch, Boston Spa, Clifford and Bramham. Then East from Aberford, Towton, Ulleskelf, Ryther and Cawood. North from there through Stillingfleet, Naburn and in to Fulford. Stopping at a cafe for coffee & cake afterwards.
