Full mudguards are required to ride with the club through Winter. We’re riding Clockwise to the West of York. The number of Groups, will depend on the number of people riding.
The forecast is currently a cool 6C start, 6mph wind coming from the West. To be safe I’ve tried to keep the route off too many twisty lanes. We head over the Millennium Bridge and South to Bishopthorpe, then West to Bolton Percy. Over the Bridge at Tadcaster and gently climbing to Bramham and steadily through the village. Up to Clifford, Boston Spa and carefully across the roundabouts to descend in to Collingham. Turning right and up to Linton over the repaired bridge to Wetherby. Negotiating the quiet one way streets and keeping East through Walton, Wighill, Askham Bryan and up Tadcaster Road back to the start.
There will be an optional cafe stop on return to Cycle Heaven.
We’re riding anti clockwise to the West of York. Over the Millennium bridge and out on Tadcaster Road to Askham Bryan. Carry on West out to Walton turning for Thorpe Arch and Boston Spa. Out to Collingham taking care on the roundabouts for a climb up Jewitt Lane following the quiet roads back in to Bramham. Sharp sprint up Town Hill and recover while heading for Stutton. Left turn on the main road up to Tadcaster, over the bridge for the right turn to Oxton. Heading back in to York through Bolton Percy, Appleton Roebuck and Bishopthorpe with an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.
*****Please download the route. It’s easy take the wrong turn after Collingham*****
