We’re riding clockwise to the North of York. Heading out on the A19 towards Skelton, turning left through Overton, Tollerton and Alne. In to Easingwold then turning East just before Oulston, up Milking Hill climbing to Yearsley. A quick descent in to Brandsby, taking care on the corners and care needed again East out of Brandsby for gravel on the corner. Quiet road through Stearsby and Whenby, then joining the busier road up to Sheriff Hutton. Back in to York through Strensall and Huntingon ending with an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.

Mudguards are still required to ride with the club. We’re riding anti clockwise to the North of York. Heading up Tadcaster road and out of York via Gillygate and Haxby; joining the quieter section of Wigginton Road. After Sutton on Forest we turn West for Huby and the climb at Crayke (the climb can be avoided by turning left just before Crayke and meet back up in Easingwold). Turning left past the Castle keeping an eye out for the left turn up a small section of single track to get to Oulston Road bringing us in to Easingwold. From there it’s South West in to the forecasted wind to Alne and Tollerton. Through Overton and carefully over the A19 for the ride back in to York hopefully wind assisted. The route ends for an optional cafe stop at Your Bike Shed.

The club ride this Sunday is clockwise to the North of York. Heading in to York on Tadcaster Road then out on the A19 to the North as far as Skelton. Then on quieter roads through Overton, Tollerton, Alne, and Easingwold. East from there to Stillington and mostly South from there to make use of the forecasted tailwind. Back in to York via Sutton on the Forest, Strensall, the back of Haxby and New Earswick for an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.
Sundays ride sees us head North through Tollerton and Easingwold. Then a gentle climb up through Coxwold. Heading South East from there over another climb towards Yearsley with a descent towards Stearsby. Quiet roads through Farlington, back in to York on Wigginton Road. Stopping at a cafe for coffee & cake afterwards.
Sundays ride looks a chilly one to Easingwold. It’s a repeat of a previous ride but we may head through town if that makes it easier for people to join us at the Art Gallery and Rawcliffe Park and Ride. Out on the A19 then through Overton, Tollerton, Alne and Easingwold. Then back South through Huby, Sutton on Forest, Strensall and New Earswick. Stop at a cafe for coffee & cake afterwards.
