We’re riding anti clockwise to the North East of York. Heading out to Heslington and on to the A1079 taking care at the roundabout to get round to Elvington. On to Barmby Moor, Bolton, Fangfoss, and Full Sutton. A small section on the A166 before a right turn to go to the top side of Buttercrambe. Left turn to Howsham, Bossall, Sand Hutton, Upper Helmsley, Warthill, Murton, Osbaldwick and the cycle track back in to York for an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.

Mudguards are now required to ride with the club. We’re riding clockwise to the East of York, going past the Minster and out on Stockton Lane. Through Warthill, Upper Helmsley and Stamford Bridge. Then Fangfoss and taking care over the A1079, Sutton Upon Derwent, Elvington, Wheldrake and Crockey Hill. For safety we’ll go on to the A19 briefly to get on to the Planets track over the river in to Middlethorpe and over Millennium Bridge for an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.

Mudguards are now required to ride with the club. After several rides to the West of York, we’re riding Anti clockwise to the East of York. Starting off down the Planets ride to avoid the Half Marathon, then to Crockey Hill taking care on the A19 to turn off for Wheldrake. Down to Skipwith, North Duffield, with a small section on the A163 to Bubwith. Quieter roads from there through Laytham and Sutton Upon Derwent. Heading back in to York through Elvington and past the University for an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.
Mudguards are now required to ride with the club. The club ride this Sunday is clockwise to the East of York. Heading towards York on Tadcaster Road and then over the Millenium Bridge. Going through Murton, Warthill, Upper Helmsley and Stamford Bridge. South over the A1079 then West to Sutton Upon Derwent, Elvington, Wheldrake and Crockey Hill. Briefly on the A19 then the Planets bike track in to Bishopthorpe, over the Millenium bridge once more for an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.
Due to the filming taking place, we will be starting from York Minster near the Constantine statue. Heading out through Stockton on the Forest, we carry on to Upper Helmsley, Bossal, Howsham and climbing up to Leavening. South from there to Acklam, Barthorpe and Bugthorpe. Along the A166 briefly turning off for Youlthorpe, Gowthorpe, Fangfoss, Wilberfoss and Newton Upon Derwent. West from there through Sutton upon Derwent, Elvington and back in to York via the University and Broadway. There will be an optional cafe stop for coffee & cake at Cycle Heaven.
We’re heading East to avoid the road closures for the York 10k run. From Tesco we leave South on the Planets ride and turn off towards Escrick. From there through Wheldrake, Elvington and a short section on the A1079 to Kexby. Northwards to Stamford Bridge and Claxton. Taking care on the A64 over to Flaxton and rising to Sittenham. Heading back to York, up in to the back of Sheriff Hutton and Strensall. Then in to Haxby, New Earswick and in to York via Gillygate. With an optional cafe stop for coffee & cake at Your Bike Shed afterwards.
We’re heading East on the ride this Sunday. Leaving from Tesco in at least 2 groups on the Planets path beyond Naburn. Then by road to towards Deighton and briefly on the A19 to Escrick. South East through Skipwith then North Duffield and on the A163 to Bubwith. A left turn for much quieter roads North through Laytham and Melbourne. Over a bridge to Thornton then taking care over the A1079 towards Fangfoss and back South East in to Wilberfoss. Back over the main road passing Newton Upon Derwent to Sutton Upon Derwent. Going through Elvington and watching for potholes etc all the way back in to York joining Hull Road. Passing the University back in to Fulford, for an optional Cafe visit for coffee and cake.
Sundays ride is our 100th ride for members only. A special 100km ride leaving East from Cycle Heaven through Elvington, Sutton Upon Derwent, Melbourne, Allerthorpe, Pocklington with a rest at Millington after a loop up and round Huggate. Then heading North through Givendale over Garrowby hill. West down in to Painsthorpe and Kirby Underdale, Bugthorpe, Howsham. Then the home stretch South West through Sand Hutton, Murton and Heslington.
Sundays ride will see us head out of York through Naburn, Wheldrake, Elvington, Newton Upon Derwent, Wilberfoss, Stamford Bridge, Sand Hutton, Claxton, Flaxton, Strensall, and New Earswick, before heading back to York for coffee & cake.
We’ll be stopping in Strensall around 11am to observe 2min silence to mark Rememberance Sunday.
