We’re riding clockwise to the North West of York. Heading out on the B1224 to Rufforth, then possibly a right turn through Long Marston and Tockwith if the road is open. Otherwise as per the route, keep going to Bickerton then right towards Tockwith and Cattal. Across the A59 carefully, for a brief climb to Whixley then a section on a main road turning left for much quieter roads through Marton-cum-Grafton, Aldborough, Lower Dunsforth and Upper Dunsforth. Over the Toll bridge to Linton on Ouse then Newton on Ouse through Beningborough Hall with a possible stop for Ice Cream. Back in to York through Overton ending with an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.

Sunday’s club ride looks another sunny one after a chilly start. We’re heading West out through Rufforth (avoiding the Vale of York run). Then once off the main road we head through Long Marston, Tockwith and over the river to Cattal. Then onwards and upwards through Whixley for a bit on the main road, before much quieter ones through Marton Cum Grafton, to our Northern most point at Aldwark. A good descent South from there to Lower Dunsforth, Upper Dunsforth and Great Ouseburn. Heading East from there over the Toll Bridge and briskly through Linton on Ouse, Newton on Ouse and through Beningbrough Hall estate. Keeping off the main road through the back roads at Overton and a straight finish from there back to York. Optional Cafe visit afterwards for Coffee and cake. Unless anybody wants to stop off in Beningbrough.
