We’re riding clockwise to the North West of York. The number of Groups, will depend on the number of people riding. There could be the option of a shorter or longer route too.
Negotiating some back roads to get out to Acomb, carefully over the Bypass to Rufforth and Long Marston. Quieter roads from there to Tockwith and turning in to the wind for Cattal. Crossing the A59 with care for the gentle climb to Whixley. Small section on the B6265 where the routes split. Shorter route takes the turn after our usual one for Great Ouseburn. The longer route climbs up to Marton then round to Lower and Upper Dunsforth to re-join at Great Ouseburn. Both routes go over Aldwark Toll Bridge, up to Aldwark then looping round South through Tollerton for the newish road surface and the wind pushing us back home. Usual section through Overton, then wind assisted down the A19 again in to Bootham.
There will be an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.
It’s our 150th club ride. To celebrate we’re riding a longer distance than normal with some hills and a cafe stop along the route.
Leaving Cycle Heaven at 0900 heading North to Huntington, Flaxton, Thornton le Clay, Slingsby, Hovingham, Nunnington, Gillamoor and round to Hutton-le-Hole for a cafe stop. South from there to Marton, Great Barugh, Amotherby, Terrington, Sheriff Hutton, Strensall, Osbaldwick, Heslington and back to Cycle Heaven.

West to Stillington, then back East through Marton in the Forest, Farlington, Sheriff Hutton and in to Sittenham. South from there to Flaxton, Towthorpe and Earswick. The exact route to the finish could change on the day depending on traffic and weather conditions, ending back for an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.
