We’re riding Clockwise to the North of York. The number of groups, will depend on the number of people riding.

Current forecast for the start of the ride 14C, 10mph wind from the South West. Heading North West on the A19 and turning off at Skelton to join up with Wigginton Road. 1st climb up Crayke, some down hill to recover then rising all the way to Yearsley. More downhill to Brandsby please take care on the bends, final hill of the day at Sheriff Hutton. Against the wind through Strensall aand Haxby back to the start.

Full mudguards are required to ride with the club until the clocks change at the end of March. We’re riding Anti Clockwise to the North of York. The number of groups, will depend on the number of people riding.

Current forecast suggests potential ice in places with temperatures down to 2-4C, 8mph wind from the North to help us back in to York. Heading out (avoiding a Reliability Ride) on well used roads to Flaxton, then up to Sheriff Hutton, Turning West through Stillington and down to Huby to come back out on to the road for Wigginton. Turning off for Skelton to try keep on quieter roads then back in to York on the A19 and next to the river back to the start

Full mudguards are required to ride with the club through Winter. We’re riding Clockwise to the North of York. The number of Groups, will depend on the number of people riding.

Forecast suggests a Cold, Sunny 1C with 8mph wind from North East to help back in to York. Sticking to used roads out of York to try avoid ice heading up to Skelton on the A19. Then turning off for Tollerton and turning East for Huby taking care crossing the A19. Up to Stillington and further East climbing gently to Sheriff Hutton. South from there with a bit of wind assistance back home through Strensall, again sticking to larger roads in case of any ice around.

We’re riding clockwise to the North East of York. The number of Groups we split in to will depend upon the number of people riding, there could be the option of a shorter or longer route too. Setting off steadily on shared bike path over Walmgate Stray towards Heworth. We head North through Huntington, Strensall and Sheriff Hutton. Please be careful for any traffic controls in place for the Ladies Road race before we climb out to Bulmer. The shorter ride would branch off to Welburn, carefully over the A64 on to the bike track, for a drop in to Kirkham and rejoin after the climb to Westow. The Longer ride heads North for the ups and downs to Coneysthorpe, East to Malton, then down to Westow. Both routes then meander South West through Sand Hutton, Murton, Osbaldwick and Heslington. There will be an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.

We’re riding clockwise to the North of York. Heading out on the A19 towards Skelton, turning left through Overton, Tollerton and Alne. In to Easingwold then turning East just before Oulston, up Milking Hill climbing to Yearsley. A quick descent in to Brandsby, taking care on the corners and care needed again East out of Brandsby for gravel on the corner. Quiet road through Stearsby and Whenby, then joining the busier road up to Sheriff Hutton. Back in to York through Strensall and Huntingon ending with an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.

It’s our 150th club ride. To celebrate we’re riding a longer distance than normal with some hills and a cafe stop along the route.

Leaving Cycle Heaven at 0900 heading North to Huntington, Flaxton, Thornton le Clay, Slingsby, Hovingham, Nunnington, Gillamoor and round to Hutton-le-Hole for a cafe stop. South from there to Marton, Great Barugh, Amotherby, Terrington, Sheriff Hutton, Strensall, Osbaldwick, Heslington and back to Cycle Heaven.

Mudguards are not compulsory this Sunday and the weather looks good. We’re riding clockwise to the North East of York. Heading down by the river and leaving York down Gillygate and on to New Earswick, Haxby, Strensall, Stillington and Brandsby. South East from there through Stearsby, Whenby and Sheriff Hutton. East to a small climb near Thornton Le Clay without the ice this time, Flaxton and Huntington back in to York for an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.

Mudguards are now required to ride with the club. We’re riding clockwise to the North of York. Heading in to Town and out on Haxby Road. Passing through New Earswick and Strensall. West to Stillington, then back East through Marton in the Forest, Farlington, Sheriff Hutton and in to Sittenham. South from there to Flaxton, Towthorpe and Earswick. The exact route to the finish could change on the day depending on traffic and weather conditions, ending back for an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.

We’re heading North for a mix of roads. Leaving Tesco heading through Town and out on Water Lane (Gillygate closed) to Sutton on Forest. Then on quieter roads through Huby followed by a climb at Crayke then descending towards Oulston. A few ups and downs heading East from there towards Yearsley and dropping down to Brandsby (please take care as there is a sharp corner downhill !!!). A fairly straight road from there through Whenby, coming out on the main road for the climb in to Sheriff Hutton. Following the road back in to York avoiding the York 100 and Gillygate closure, with an optional cafe stop for coffee & cake at Your Bike Shed.
