YRCC Ride 179
Date: 12/11/2017 | Time: 9am | Distance: 34.9 mi | Elevation Gain: 566ft | Ride Type: Road
Full mudguards are required to ride with the club through Winter. We’re riding anti clockwise to the East of York and stopping on route to observe the 2 minute silence. The number of Groups, will depend on the number of people riding.
Looks like a chilly 3C start, 13-18mph wind coming from the North West. We’re repeating a similar route done for the last 2 Remembrance Sundays. Heading South on the A19 to Crockey Hill then East through Wheldrake and Elvington. North up to Newton Upon Derwent to carefully cross the A1079 to Wilberfoss. North to Stamford Bridge and Claxton. A small secion on the A64 to cross over to Flaxton. West in to Strensall for a stop around 27 miles in, then carry on to Earswick and Huntington. Back in to York on Malton Road, James Street and A19 through Fulford.
There will be an optional cafe stop on return to Cycle Heaven.
