Full mudguards are required to ride with the club until the clocks change at the end of March. We’re riding Clockwise to the South of York. The number of groups, will depend on the number of people riding.
Current forecast for the ride is 5-8C, 6-8mph wind from the South to help us back in to York. Heading out over the Millennium Bridge then South through Bishopthorpe for a small section on the Planets. East to Escrick and South through Skipwith. West to Selby, Brayton and Thorpe Willoughby. Out on to the B1222 with the breeze up to Cawood. Then up to Stillingfleet, Naburn and Fulford.
Optional Coffee stop after the ride at Cycle Heaven.
The weather looks good. We’re riding a flat route clockwise to the South of York. Leaving South down the A19 to Crockey Hill, Wheldrake, Thorganby and Skipwith. Taking care over the roundabout to Barlby, in to Selby and out to Brayton. The only small hill of the ride round to Thorpe Willoughby. Then wind assisted all the way back through Cawood, Stillingfleet and Naburn. Back in to York for an optional cafe stop at Cycle Heaven.

With the wind forecast to come from the South; we’re heading South to benefit from the tailwind for the way home. Starting from Tesco towards Bishopthorpe to join the Planets bike track down to Selby. Then we’re staying on mainly single track roads through Barlow, Carlton, Hirst Courtney, Temple Hirst and Burn. On the A19 to Brayton then some more quiet roads to Thorpe Willoughby and on to Cawood. Help from a tailwind to Stillingfleet and Naburn. Briefly on the bike track again over the river to come back in to York via Bishopthorpe Road for an optional cafe stop at Your Bike Shed.
